A Whole New Cereal World
Cereal is a staple in any household. It’s convenient, it’s delicious, and there are so many types that you can always have something new and exciting. However, some varieties are significantly healthier than others.

While marshmallow cereals are delicious, this kid is missing out on a whole world of tasty, unhealthy cereals! What about Cocoa Puffs, Frosted Flakes, and Fruity Pebbles? There’s a whole world out there, kid!
Something Smells Bad
As humans, we’re very sensitive to smells, especially things that we think smell bad. This is evolutionary, as bad smells often help us avoid things that are dangerous or could make us sick. However, sometimes people just don’t like the way something smells.

Her sons’ reactions to her cooking make us question whether they just grew up in a funny, sarcastic household where it’s normal to joke that way — or if the mom is actually a bad cook in denial. Being a parent doesn’t make your food good!
No One Likes the Crusts
There are a lot of eating habits that spark debate. Do you keep bread crusts or cut them off? Do you eat the pizza crust or not? Do you cut the sandwich in squares or in triangles?

We can’t blame this kid for never eating the crust. It’s the worst part of the bread, even if it’s supposedly the most nutritious. And dad shouldn’t be complaining, as he gets a lunch he doesn’t have to prepare!
Waffles or Pancakes
Speaking of food debates, the world may never know which is superior — the waffle or the pancake. They’re both traditional American breakfast foods that can be savory or sweet, meaning they make a very versatile dish.

While both good, waffles and pancakes are not the same! Waffles are crispy and have perfect little pits for syrup and other toppings. Pancakes are soft and fluffy. So, it’s completely understandable if someone doesn’t like both.
School Lunch Struggles
Lunchtime as a school-aged child is the most exciting time of day apart from recess. It means a break from boring schoolwork, chatting to your friends, and discovering what’s for lunch that day. If you bring a packed lunch to school, it’s even more exciting.

Unfortunately, a homemade lunch doesn’t mean it’s something the kid will end up eating. Whether they’re picky eaters, lack the appetite, or just don’t want it, a lot of poor lunchbox food goes to waste each day.
No Desserts Here
Some kids really love dessert, to the point that it borders on obsession. They will try absolutely anything to convince their parents to give them chocolate, ice cream, or cupcakes — you name it, they probably want it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

While the use of the word terrorist may be a bit far-fetched here, we have to side with dad. There’s no way any parent wants to encourage their child to engage in harmful behavior all for a bit of dessert.
Kids in Restaurants Get Rowdy
We’ve all been there — just trying to enjoy a nice meal out at a lovely restaurant when suddenly, there’s a child screaming, knocking over their drink, or running around and almost tripping over the servers.

This parent is so right. Children have incredibly short attention spans, and sitting at a restaurant for what feels like an eternity to them is boring. Naturally, they start looking into making a little mischief, and the poor parents have to try and stop it before it starts.
Where’s That Stain From?
Stains are frustrating. Stains in clothing can be really difficult to get out, depending on what caused the stain. Stains in furniture can be almost impossible. So grubby little hands around furniture are terrifying.

Since children seem to love to wipe their hands on the sofa instead of their napkins, why not create some sofa-shaped napkins? This is brilliant problem-solving on this dad’s part. Pass over that GoFundMe link and we’ll contribute!
Close That Fridge Door
Refrigerators are energy suckers, so there’s nothing worse than a family member who loves to stand in the open fridge door staring at the contents inside, which are almost always disappointing. But sometimes, the culprit is too adorable to reprimand.

To be fair, chocolate milk does smell delicious. Adults would probably do the same thing if they were still “allowed” to drink chocolate milk and weren’t worried about it going bad from being out of the fridge too long.
Not-So-Happy Meal
There are few things more exciting than getting a Happy Meal from McDonald’s as a kid. Between the fries, the dipping sauces, the toy, and the simple pleasure of opening up the box, it’s hard to choose which is the best part.

Imagine the disappointment when you’re expecting some delicious, highly processed chicken nuggets and discover a wimpy little burger in their place. The two are in no way comparable, and the toddler definitely had a right to be upset.
Tiny Straws Are a Pain
Juice boxes are the best. They’re so much more exciting than boring old water. Sure, they’ve got a ridiculously high sugar content, but we can all keep on pretending they’re healthy because they’re fruit-flavored.

Capri Sun is a huge name in the juice box game, so much so that there are now adult versions of the classic juice pouch. But, they are notorious for the difficulty of getting the straw in on the first try, so this mom’s comparison is a good one.
Rice Krispies Treat Surprise
If you’ve never tried a Rice Krispies treat, you’re missing out. They’re made with Kellog’s Rice Krispies cereal and marshmallows, making them stick together in the most delicious way.

We have to admit — we would be just as excited to find a Rice Krispies treat, even if it were on the floor. Who’s to say that it wasn’t still in the wrapper? That kid hit the jackpot, and we all know it.
Grocery Shopping Lists
A lot of people don’t bother to make grocery lists. They just show up to the store, ready to browse the aisle and grab 50 things that they don’t really need to fill up their fridge and pantry.

Parents shopping with children usually do have a list, as they need to get in and out as quickly as possible precisely for these reasons. Kids and grocery stores do not mix well… unless you’re willing to bribe them.
An Unconventional Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gets the metabolism going and gives us the energy we need to start the day off on a good foot. And while we should eat something healthy for this meal, that isn’t always the case.

In every culture, different foods are meant to be eaten at certain times of the day, so perhaps there’s a place in which eating Flaming Hot Doritos for breakfast is normal. Unlikely, but this mom can hang onto that hope.
Kids Don’t Understand Hunger
Many people don’t seem to understand that not everyone is hungry at the same time. Some people only need to eat two or three times, whereas others snack periodically throughout the day. This especially rings true for children.

Was he not hungry, or was it simply that he didn’t want what mom made? The answer is most likely the latter. We hate to break it to you, kid — but you can’t live off of fruit snacks and mini donuts forever.
A Solid Lunch
While fruit is fantastic and essential to health, it isn’t exactly a meal. A meal needs several components, and it needs to be large enough to be filling and nutritious. Someone try telling that to this kid, though.

Leaves are an interesting choice. Perhaps the kid is thinking of lettuce and spinach, and is one of the rare children who actually enjoy eating leafy greens. Mom should definitely take advantage while she can.
A Plethora of Bathroom Visits
There’s nothing more annoying than people who need to use the bathroom all the time. If it’s because they’re well-hydrated, then that’s great for them, but it’s annoying for those who are out and about with them.

Children are huge culprits of excessive bathroom trips, thanks to their tiny bladders and poor self-control. They seem great at timing bathroom trips for the worst possible moment, too, like right when the food has arrived. Hope their parents enjoy cold food!
Never Stop Complaining
Kids love to complain. It’s a fact of life. Maybe it has to do with them being at a developmental stage of learning to be independent and pushing boundaries, or maybe it’s just them being annoying, but dinner time is a big trigger.

Statistics say that 98% of what parents cook is inherently disgusting and toxic and an attempt to traumatize their child. At least, that’s what statistics would say if it were up to kids. Will they ever be happy?
Real Cheese Hater
Did you know that many powdered cheeses may not even contain any real cheese at all? They’re typically used as toppings on things like popcorn but are also a staple of boxed mac and cheese.

While real cheese is obviously superior, when a child is used to a specific taste, it can be hard for them to cope with something different. Plus boxed mac and cheese is just really good. We feel your pain, kid.
Inside a Jelly Jar
Donuts come in so many varieties that it’s hard to keep track. Jelly-filled, glazed, chocolate-covered, and donut holes are just a few of the options. Jelly-filled donuts are moist and tasty, but messy.

A child plus a jelly-filled donut is a recipe for disaster. Frankly, it was almost irresponsible for this parent to even allow a jelly-filled donut near a child without thinking of the consequences. Time to break out the cleaning products!
Eat the Whole Thing
Getting children to eat all of their dinner can be difficult. Whether they aren’t hungry or they’re complaining about the contents, especially if there are vegetables present, parents can end up really frustrated. This is worse when they twist what you say.

Well, she did say eat the whole thing, which is what her kid did! They just didn’t do it in the way she expected. Mom needs to be more specific next time if she expects better results.
Eat, Sleep, Poop
Babies can be boiled down to three things — eat, sleep, poop, and repeat. Sure, they start learning to walk and speak, but their desires almost always come back to those three basic needs. This goes for both animal babies and human babies, minus the talking for animals.

The words that adults pretend their babies are saying are probably much more interesting than anything they’re actually trying to say. So, let’s all agree to just carry on with our pretend conversations with them.
Lacking in Manners
The plus side of fast-food and restaurants is that they can be a fun, special treat and give parents a break from cooking all of the time. The downside is that kids often come to expect chicken nuggets and fries for every meal.

Mom’s food is probably delicious, but because it’s not brown and processed and in a square shape, her kids don’t want it. Hopefully, she doesn’t take it personally, as we can guarantee that every parent has been there.
Everyone Needs a Break
Sometimes, we have a day that’s so bad, we just want to collapse onto the sofa and not think about anything. Others cope by opening up a bottle of something and flipping on their favorite show. For those with kids, these days can be particularly awful.

You’re not a bad parent for needing a break, Juicebox Hero. Everyone has bad days and needs a break and a glass of something strong. As long as you’re caring for your kid the best you can, they will be okay.
At Least They Were Polite
Have you heard of active listening? It’s the practice of making a conscious effort to listen to and respond to what someone is saying to you. Many adults are horrible at this, and if they can’t figure it out, then of course the children can’t either.

The kids probably saw their mom making sandwiches and completely ignored what her question actually was. The good news is that at least they were polite and more than willing to eat a sandwich.
Filthy Family Vehicles
There’s no denying that children are messy. They drop crumbs everywhere, they get stains on their clothes, and they leave a disaster trail in their wake no matter where they go. So naturally, this chaos extends to car trips.

Kids are hungry often and need snacks, making Goldfish and Cheerios an easy option that’s at least safer than something containing liquid or jelly. Yet they still manage to get crumbs everywhere. At least the mess is easily remedied with a vacuum — that is, if the parents can find the time.
Snack Time Sounds Better
Tantrums are frustrating, especially when they’re for what adults deem silly reasons. And many tantrums in households stem from meal times, particularly dinner. As a parent simply trying to feed your child, it can be tough.

Perhaps children hate meal times because they know they usually come with foods they don’t want, like vegetables. Snack time, on the other hand, is often fun things like fruit snacks or Goldfish. Which one would you prefer?
Children Are Bad at Pouring
Children are not good at pouring things. It stems from a combination of their developing bodies and motor skills, and often simply not paying attention to what they’re doing and slowing down enough to do it properly.

As a parent, every time you watch your child pour something is a heartstopping moment of that gallon of milk potentially being wasted on the floor. It’s a struggle between wanting them to learn how to pour and not wanting to go back to the store.
Wasted Water Bottles
Plastic water bottles and Coca-Cola bottles have got to be one of the top plastic polluters on the planet. Some people won’t drink water unless it’s from a plastic bottle, but they don’t realize how much plastic they’re throwing away every day.

Sure — he could probably survive, but those water bottles will be nasty from sitting in a hot car, and those Goldfish will be super stale! After three years of stale Goldfish, he’d probably never want to see another one ever again.
Not an Early Bird
Some people are naturally early birds, and others are night owls. Neither is better than the other, but they do tend to lead to very different lifestyles. An exhausted parent most probably falls into the night owl category, but children are almost always early risers.

What a brilliant idea. Kids already love eating food off of the floor, so why not throw out some Cheerios and squeeze in a little more sleep while your kid enjoys the challenge of finding all of the cereal pieces? Just make sure you keep those floors extra clean.
Moms Always Do it All
Moms are superheroes. Whether it’s by choice or due to the fact society expects moms to be the main caregivers, they often take on a significant majority of day-to-day parenting duties, including snack and meal times.

It sounds like this kid just knew mom would make the better snack, as she’s probably the one who always does it. Mom makes ants on a log or perfect apple slices, while dad probably throws string cheese at them and tells them to have at it.
It’s All in the Syrup
One of the best parts of eating waffles and pancakes is the maple syrup. It’s particularly exciting with waffles, because thanks to the shape of the waffles, they contain perfect little square pits for the syrup to pool in.

As great as the syrup pools are, who needs waffles when you could just drink maple syrup straight out of a glass? This kid has got it all figured out, but unfortunately, mom probably told them heck no. How disappointing.
Changing Taste Buds
As we get older, our taste buds change, becoming less sensitive and less capable of perceiving different flavors. Maybe this is why children are so picky. After all, they have a plethora of super-sensitive, well-functioning taste buds.

Why do kids do this? While tastes do change, it definitely doesn’t happen overnight. The real question here, though, is if this child is severely lacking in certain vitamins thanks to a diet of pure cheese for a year.
Future Chef in the Making
One talent that chefs have is a knack for combining flavors perfectly, be it the spices or the foods themselves. Often they put together ingredients that make us scratch our heads but ultimately complement each other extremely well.

We’re not so sure that cold pizza and candy corn are one of those genius combinations. To a three-year-old, it’s two tasty foods in one, which is a win in and of itself. But, just because they’re great individually doesn’t mean they work together.
Just Dip it in Ketchup
Cheese and ketchup are the pinnacles of an adolescent diet, with fruit snacks earning an honorary mention. No one knows what it is about that red, sugary liquid goodness that people love so much, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a child who doesn’t love it.

These statistics should be the other way around, as kids will find a way to dip just about anything in ketchup. Melted cheese isn’t quite as versatile, but it’s a good way to make food more kid-friendly as well.
We’re Finally Alone
As a parent, moments of quiet and alone time are few and far between. Most can’t even go to the bathroom without a child or pet following them in or interrupting them mid-shower or during a number two.

What started as a sweet, appreciative, intimate moment was then marred by a needy kid. Hopefully, the parents had a good laugh, and the child got the help they needed. And let’s just assume, it was simply that they were too young to clean themselves well on their own.
Candy for Breakfast
If children are anything, it’s enthusiastic. They see the world through young, fresh lenses… unjaded by life-like adults. In addition to being enthusiastic, they’re also extremely persistent, wearing their parents down day by day until they give in.

This kid’s mistake is asking for candy for breakfast instead of for dinner. At breakfast time, mom is fresh, ready to tackle a new day. At dinner time, however, she’ll be worn out from the day and more pliable. It’s all about timing, kid!
The World Needs More Marshmallows
As an American, sweet potato casserole is a staple of most Thanksgiving dinners. It’s a dessert, and there are many methods to make it, but a common one is including toasted marshmallows on top.

If there’s one thing full of sugar and bound to be adored by children, it’s marshmallows, and they do go very well with sweet potatoes. Perhaps more foods could be complemented by the sweet gooey candy clouds, so the kid may be onto something here.
Triangles Are Superior
One can’t use the internet these days without having come across some food debate or another. In this case, the debate is whether cutting your sandwich into squares or triangles is better. It may seem subjective, but it isn’t.

Triangle sandwiches are obviously superior. Triangles are more exciting than squares. This four-year-old’s reaction to their square sandwich was completely reasonable. Mom definitely won’t be making that mistake again.
Secret Snack Stashes
The worst part of sharing a house with children is that any time there’s a pantry full of snack foods, they’ll disappear so quickly that the parents start to question whether they actually went grocery shopping the day before.

Thanks to this, many parents have secret snack stashes, and they hide while eating them for fear of being forced to share with the same children who wiped out all of the other snacks. Parents deserve snacks, too.
The Mysterious Oreo Filling
Oreos are a well-beloved cookie. There’s just something about spinning the cookie apart to lick away the filling, or dipping it in milk until it gets just the tiniest bit soggy, that can’t be beaten by inferior cookies.

Mom should have known that the husband, four-year-old, and seven-year-old would band together and vow silence on the matter. Mom’s disappointment likely isn’t even the stain, but the fact that Oreo filling was wasted on the couch.
Love/Hate Relationship With Bananas
Imagine being a parent who desperately wants to make sure your kids are well-fed and eat a good balance of nutritious fruits and vegetables. So, whenever your child requests a piece of fruit as a snack, you’re over the moon.

And then the worst happens — your child decides on a whim they no longer like that fruit. Now, you’re stuck eating a banana you didn’t want so that it doesn’t end up in the trash can, even though it’s perfectly good.
Attention to Detail
Attention spans and focus are interesting things. The longer you spend on this Earth, the more you realize that they’re strongly influenced by a person’s interest in the task at hand, especially when it comes to children.

Kids can focus for extraordinary periods of time when it comes to picking ingredients that they decide they don’t like out of their food. Her daughter probably also spends precious minutes picking things off of her pizza.
Children Are Like Animals
Proper etiquette when eating meals is a learned behavior, so for obvious reasons, most children are severely lacking when it comes to table manners. To be fair, many adults are as well, but that’s another conversation.

Spaghetti is a weird food, as everyone eats it differently. There are the fork twirlers, the slurpers, and the people who cut it up into smaller pieces to make it more manageable. The imagery of a kid eating spaghetti like a horse eats hay is hilarious and very accurate.
Case of the Bacon Snatcher
Children often show very little interest in the food on their own plates. No one understands exactly why this happens, but they’re always much more interested in the cookie their sibling has, or the sandwich on their parent’s plate.

As long as parents are willing to delay their own meal time, putting their child’s food on their own plate is a genius way of getting them to eat everything. Otherwise, their bacon and French fries will constantly be snatched by their kids.
30+ World Records Set By Gamers
As video games have become more advanced and more popular, it seems like there are no limits to what gamers can accomplish. Whether it’s to rise to the challenge of a speedrun, gather the most collectibles, or come up with something that no one else would, there’s no shortage of records set by gamers. These are just a sample of the world records gamers have set.
The World’s Largest Game Boy
When the Game Boy released in 1989, it would change the landscape of gaming for years to come. It’s even the first console that many of today’s gamers fell in love with games on.

Ilhan Ünal was a particularly dedicated fan of the Game Boy. To show his love for the system, he debuted a massive console in 2016. The Game Boy ended up being 1.01 meters tall and could successfully play traditional Game Boy cartridges. It only spent a month in development too!
Largest Competitive Pokémon Family
Video games are great alone but they can also really bring people together. This particular family even came together to create the largest competitive Pokémon family.

The Arnold Family is from Frankfort, Illinois and they’re almost all competitive Pokémon gamers. This includes the couple Linda and Glenn Arnold as well as their children David, Ryan, and Grace. All five of them have taken on competitors in Pokémon Video Game Championships and earned their title as the largest competitive Pokémon family.
Most Video Game Commemorative Coins
Most games have a system of collectibles, either as a bonus side quest or to use as currency. These are even among the most recognizable collectibles across games.

Wade Speaks took the time to make this quest for coins real by collecting real-life commemorative coins for video games. The mission started in 2013 and by 2019, Speaks had collected a record-breaking 1,019 coins. Since then, he’s teamed up with Signature Coins to make a commemorative coin of his own.
Youngest Pro Gamer
With the rise of e-sports and the wide audiences that streamers bring in today, it’s more likely than ever that someone could show their skills as a professional gamer.

How old do you have to be to start one of these careers? Well, if you ask Viktor De Leon III, better known as Lil Poison, not very old at all! Born in 1998, the gamer competed in his first Halo tournament at four years old. At seven, he signed with Major League Games, breaking the world record.
Longest Final Fantasy Marathon
Final Fantasy games are well-loved for a variety of reasons. Not only are most of them well-done with engaging gameplay and thrilling stories but they’re highly replayable.

This makes them a great game to pick if you want to set the record for a video game marathon. In 2017, a gamer in Spain named Aarón González Santomé chose them for just that purpose. He specifically sat down with Final Fantasy X/X-2 to break the record with a time of over 40 hours.
Most Lucrative Single-Player Win
There are few people who are more competitive than an e-sports gamer. Contrary to popular belief, they spend a lot of time training to win big and earn their spot in the limelight.

With this in mind, it makes winning a tournament or championship all the more rewarding. Not to mention, cash prizes don’t hurt as an incentive either. In 2019, 100 gamers competed in a Fortnite tournament. Kyle Giersdorf, 16, won the prize of $3 million which also happened to set the record for a single-player payout.
MOst QuadStick Mouth-Operated Joystick Victories
Video games appeal to a wide audience and gamers never fail to impress with their skills. One particular gamer, Rocky Stoutenburgh, made his mark with a record in Fortnite.

Paralyzed from the neck down, though, Stoutenburgh doesn’t rely on the standard controller or keyboard to make his way to the top. Instead, he uses a QuadStick Mouth-Operated Joystick to control the game. With this controller, he holds records for both the most Fortnite victories and the most eliminations in a single Battle Royale.
Most Liscensed Music in a Game
There’s nothing that quite compliments clever level designs and engaging action like the right song. Today, licensed music is part of the template for most games.

That being said, there is a limit to how many licensed songs go into a game. After all, since they’re licensed, it isn’t as easy or as cheap as taking a song you like and editing it in. If you want a wide library of licensed music to enjoy in-game, Midnight Club: Los Angeles holds the record.
Biggest Arcade Cabinet Ever
Arcades were once a go-to location for people who wanted to enjoy video games. Even as in-home systems became more popular, you can still find arcades to enjoy the classics.

With their dwindling numbers, however, there are gamers who try to recreate the nostalgic environment. One gamer, Jason Camberis, made a unique choice. He made the biggest arcade cabinet in existence and they’re even for sale for a breathtaking $100,000. With an emulator within, there are plenty of game options too.
Fastest Blindfolded Super Mario Run
There are few games that change the industry like Mario. As such, it’s no surprise that there are plenty of impressive records associated with gamers who love the iconic figure.

Among the most impressive record that someone earned in Super Mario World was recorded in 2017. That’s when katun24 beat the game not only with a staggering time but while blindfolded the whole time. It only took them 13 minutes and 31 seconds which beat the old record held by PangeaPanga by over two minutes.
Most Lara Croft Cosplayers
The amazing thing about video games is that they’ve managed to go beyond their original medium. Today, there are movies, shows, conventions, and, of course, cosplayers showcasing their favorites.

For those that love the classic series Tomb Raider, this record is pretty niche. In 2018, a group of 316 cosplayers broke the world record for the most Lara Croft cosplayers gathered in one place. Interestingly, this feat was as an event for the rebooted movie, not one of the games.
Rarest Mario Cartridge
Like many vintage items, retro video games have enjoyed high sales when they’re finally placed up for sale. Often, the rarer an item is, the more it sells for.

The most expensive record title for Mario games belongs to a copy of Super Mario Bros. that went for $100,000 but this isn’t the rarest. The rarest Mario cartridge that any gamer would struggle to get their hands on is the Nintendo Campus Challenge cartridge. There’s only one copy that sold for $20,000 in 2009.
Longest Dance Marathon
Dance marathons used to be a fairly common concept. Today, though, the tradition actually has a modern update. Why not use a dancing video game for a dance marathon?

In 2015, a teacher named Carrie Swidecki took to Twitch and broke the record playing Just Dance. While raising money for the charity event ExtraLife4Kids, Swidecki danced for a full 138 hours and 34 seconds, all streamed online. Interestingly, this also gives her the longest video game marathon in general too!
Fastest Final Fantasy VII Playthrough
When it comes to speedrunning games, you have to be talented, strategic, and well-informed about the game. It isn’t something that comes easily, especially with distractions.

When it comes to a famous game like Final Fantasy VII, the competition for speedrunning is stiff. Still, with all the collectibles and challenging enemies, it’s easy to get sidetracked or lose time. Most players can expect at least 25 hours of gameplay out of it but Luzbelheim finished in only 6:59:56.
Longest Game of Football Manager
For gamers who love sports, there is no shortage of games that can help you live out your athletic dreams. Among them is the game Football Manager.

This game, as the name suggests, allows the player to manage their own team. In Football Manager 2017, Sepp Hedel clocked a total in-game 333 years as a manager. In real-time, that’s 81 days and 20 hours. The feat earned them the title of the longest single game of Football Manager.
The Most Speedruns for a Game
Naturally, some games are more well-known than others. So, it only makes sense that certain games would take center stage to speedrunners looking to show that they’re the best.

If you want to know which title gamers are trying to speedrun the most, the honor belongs to none other than Super Mario 64. This includes over 6,700 speedruns. The fastest time belongs to a gamer from Spain named Cheese who won all 120 stars in an hour and 39 minutes.
The Most Recognizable Video Game Character
There are certain characters that gamers see a lot. This isn’t just because they play one game a lot but because those characters seem to be everywhere, even outside their franchise.

According to Guinness World Records, Mario is actually the most ubiquitous video character of all time. In other words, he’s everywhere. The overall-clad plumber has graced 215 games. This includes his own games as the main character as well as appearing in other games in some capacity, including Easter eggs of the iconic mascot.
Most Expansive Collection
When it comes to gaming, there are a lot of options out there when you’re looking for something to play. That’s why it’s always exciting to get a new game to add to your collection.

This particular gamer was dedicated to growing their collection so much that they even earned a record. In 2019, it was announced that Antonio Monteiro, from Texas, held the world record with a library of 20,139 games. It took eight days to count every game!
Biggest 24-Hour Rhythm Game Relay
Back in 2009, Activision launched Guitar Hero 5 in their growing line of similar rhythm games. To celebrate the launch, Activision decided to go big which also helped garner attention.

Actually, several European branches of Activision held guitar relays in the game but Activision Italy broke the record, in the end. The publisher managed to get 594 gamers to play the game at the same time in a 24-hour relay. The event broke records and became the most players in a 24-hour guitar rhythm game relay.
Largest Sandbox World
Video games started from humble beginnings but today, they’re larger than life. This is most evident in sandbox games that allow the player to freely explore and interact with the world.

The most famous sandbox game is easily Grand Theft Auto but it doesn’t have the accolade of being the largest sandbox game. That world record is actually held by Eidos’ Just Cause. The sandbox offers gamers more than 250,000 acres in-game to explore.
Fastest Speedrun of Breath of the Wild
When The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released, fans new and old were excited to give it a try. With a slew of new mechanics, it challenged what gamers thought of a Zelda game as.

One particular gamer managed to get one of the most sought-after records for this game through speedrunning. It’s important to note that this particular speed run is especially impressive because SpecsNStats not only completed the game in 25:24:57 but beat the game including total completion!
Longest Minecraft Tunnel in Creative Mode
There are few games that have experienced the same meteoric rise in popularity as Minecraft. It’s a game that’s accessible to everyone too, whether you prefer to survive or just create.

Of all the gamers who have dedicated seemingly endless hours to the game, only one earned this record. In 2017, YouTuber ItzEpicGeorge created the longest Minecraft tunnel while in creative mode. The tunnel was 62 miles long or about 100,000 in-game blocks. This would take other players seven hours just to pass through.
Highest Xbox GamerScore
Xbox allows gamers to show their stuff by earning points based on completing games and the tasks within them. The higher your score, the more accomplished you are.

The title of the highest Xbox GamerScore belongs to Raymond Cox or Stallion83. Over the years, the player has managed to round up more than two million points. This means that Cox must have dedicated a lot of his life to gaming! To make an estimate, he must have finished around 2,000 games completely.
Longest Resident Evil Marathon
Horror games are designed to be more than challenging but anxiety-inducing as well. After all, it’s the tension of a horror movie but with an interactive element thrown in.

That doesn’t stop gamers from a good horror game marathon, though. Lorenzo Ramondetti actually has the marathon for a game run time of 36:29:40. During the marathon, he played both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. That’s a lot of added tension to the practice of a game marathon which is already pretty draining.
Most Successful Crowdfunding
There are a lot of instances in video gaming history that fans jump in to get a new game out to the public. As a matter of fact, crowdfunding for development is a fairly common practice.

Which game has crowdfunded the most money? That would be Star Citizen. The game was first announced in 2012 and crowdfunding for its development started shortly after. However, you still aren’t able to play it. Despite crowdfunding a staggering sum of more than $218 million, the game has been delayed multiple times.
Most PlayStation Trophies
If you want to show off all that you’ve done in your favorite PlayStation games, look no further than trophies. Collecting all of these is a sure way to master the games you love.

That’s because these trophies take a lot of skill and a lot of time to learn. As for the most trophies, that honor goes to a PlayStation user named Roughdawg4. This gamer has more than 74,000 trophies. This puts them at level 266 and a score of over 2.5 million.
The First to Be Hogglike
Nidhogg 2 released on the PlayStation 4 on August 15, 2017. To make the stakes a little higher, the developers included a trophy for those gamers that really wanted a challenge out of the title.

The trophy in question is titled “Hogglike” as a play on the term “Godlike.” The trophy requires gamers to win completely without dying. This is made harder because, if you aren’t familiar with the game, you can die in a single hit. By February 23, 2018, someone finally won the trophy.
Largest Final Fantasy Collection
If you hear the phrase “role-playing game,” you wouldn’t be alone if you automatically thought of the Final Fantasy franchise. These games are considered so iconic for a reason!

Still, the average fan would pale in comparison to Tai-Ting Tseng. He’s the world record holder for owning the biggest collection of Final Fantasy merchandise. This includes everything from CDs of the game’s soundtrack to collectible toys. In total, he has more than 3,700 unique collectibles.
Most Expensive Game Bundle
If you’re even casually into gaming, you know that it’s a practice that can get expensive. This is especially true if you’re interested in the special editions of new games.

There are certain games that you may even need to carefully consider your budget before splurging on. Kingdom Hearts III made headlines for a few hundred dollars for the limited edition copy. Yet, the Dying Light Spotlight Edition was even more than that. For the whole package, you would have needed a spare $10 million.
Fastest Portal Speedrun
In 2007, the world was introduced to what would become one of the most popular games in years to come. At this point, there are few people – gamers and otherwise – who haven’t heard of Portal.

The game was accessible because it wasn’t hard as nails as a game like Dark Souls tries to be. Instead, it drew gamers in with its unique mechanics, quirky dialogue, and memorable characters. Still, it’s shocking that Cody Miller managed to finish it in only 24 minutes and 37 seconds.
Longest World of Warcraft Marathon
If there’s one thing that World of Warcraft is known for, it’s sucking players into long sessions. Yet, there are still some gamers who stand out for how long they play, even among stiff competition.

The honor of the longest video game marathon of playing World of Warcraft was earned by Ian Haimes in 2017. In all, the gamer played the session in Azeroth for a full 32 hours and 36 minutes. That’s a lot of dedication to keep going for that long!
Most Alternative Control Methods to Win
Dark Souls is a series renowned for its difficulty level. The game is meant to be challenging and there have been plenty of gamers who have risen to that challenge and beat the game.

However, few gamers have mastered the game as bearzly did in 2016. They set a record for the most alternative control methods used to beat Dark Souls. Despite being hard enough with a standard controller, they beat it with items like a steering wheel, voice control, and even the bongo drum made for Donkey Konga.
Highest Rated Game of All Time
Just like albums or movies, video games are subject to reviews both from fans and critics. These reviews are often crucial in determining how successful a game is and will be.

There is one game that stands out from the rest. According to Metacritic, this honor goes to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A classic title, the game sits at a rating of 99 out of 100 on Metacritic with the remake for the 3DS sits slightly lower at a still-impressive 94.
Longest One-Handed Combo
Any gamer who loves Dragon Ball Z recognizes the video game adaptation, Dragon Ball FighterZ. It follows a lot of the features standard for a fighting game with stylings reminiscent of the anime.

One particularly determined gamer is known simply as “Desk.” In 2018, they accomplished a pretty specific world record of the highest hit-combo in the game with one hand. With only their left hand, they performed a 441-hit combo in the video.
Most Goals Scored in Rocket League
Rocket League is a team-based game with a pretty zany premise. The main goal of the game is to win soccer matches but instead of individual players, the players are cars.

The game puts a lot of emphasis on teamwork and you’d be pretty lucky for Ryan Howard to be on your team of gamers. This is because he actually holds the world record for the most goals scored in a single game of Rocket League. In all, he earned 141 goals.
